Profile:
Studying Organic Synthesis as major in college, I evaluated results of pigment synthesis. During I was in college in 1982/1983, the Seiko Epson Corporation announced a wrist watch featuring an active LCD matrix based TV (30 years before Apple did!). I was extremly impressed about this technology. But as I entered the company, I was able to understand the way of color, so I was developing a color filter for liquid crystal display. After that, I started working on the production line and began to develop flexible displays from 20 years ago. I have developed flexible color filters and flexible LCD, and have been doing application development. After moving to Yamagata University in 2011, I am focusing on developing elemental technologies.
Specialized field:
Pattern processing technology such as printing, film formation, etc.
Assignment:
Gas penetration control of soft device substrate
1-3. Soft device evaluation
Research theme
Soft device evaluation
Yoshiyuki Suzuri, Associate professor
Characteristic:
I’m tall. I can be found from a distance.
Motto:
Vitality with optimism
Favorite words:
wide perspective
Hobby:
Exercises, Research
Role Model:
My university professor
Profile:
Since I was a student, I have been engaged in research and development related to “light”. In student days I studied artificial photosynthesis, after that, I encountered organic EL as a company effort. I have been engaged in light physical property measurement, device development, coated type materials, etc. for more than 10 years, from material design and synthesis of luminescent molecules such as luminescent materials for organic EL. Since coming to Yamagata University from 2011, I am interested in organic thin film formation processes and organic thin film properties, as well as conducting applied research such as organic EL flexibility technology and so on.
Specialized field:
Organic electronics, luminescent molecules, Organic thin films
Assignment:
Thin film formation and observation technology in organic electronics
Especially applied to soft matter
